Antonio Lopez

Antonio Lopez è nato a Puerto Rico (1943/11/02) All'età di sette anni si trasferisce a New York con la sua famiglia. I suoi genitori lo hanno influenzato ad applicare il suo talento artistico alla moda. Ha frequentato  la Scuola Superiore di Arte e Design e poi il  Fashion Institute of Technology. Ha iniziato a lavorare per Women´s Wear Daily e il New York Times. Nel 1969 si trasferisce a Parigi e cominciò a lavorare con Karl Lagerfield. I temi di Lopez: il desiderio  omosessuale e  le culture razziali. Le illustrazioni di questo importante illustratore sono  apparse in molte pubblicazioni come Vogue, Harper Bazar, Elle. Morì nel 1987.

Antonio López nació en Puerto Rico (11/02/1943) A la edad de siete años se mudó a Nueva York con su familia. Sus padres influyeron en él para aplicar su talento artístico a la moda. Fue a la Escuela Superior de Arte y el diseño y el Fashion Institute of Technology. Empezó a trabajar para el  Women´s Wear Daily y el New York Times. En 1969 se trasladó a París y comenzó a trabajar con Karl Lagerfeld. Los temas de López: el deseo homosexual y la raza. Las ilustraciones de este ilustrador importante aparecierón  en muchas publícaciones como Vogue, Haper´s Bazar , Elle.  Murió en 1987.
 

Antonio Lopez was born in Puerto Rico (11/02/1943) At the age of seven years he moved to New York with his family. His parents influenced him to apply his artistic talent to fashion. He went to the high school of Art and design and the Fashion institute of Technology. He began to work for the Women´s Wear Daily and the New York times. In 1969 he moved to Paris and began to work with Karl Lagerfield. The themes of Lopez : queer desire and race. The illustrations of this major illustrator appeared in many pubblications as Vogue, Harper´s Bazar, Elle. He died in 1987.
